OK, big Genesis fan, so couldn't resist the reference. Their first album after Peter Gabriel and I think Steve Hackett left, anyway...I digress. This refers actually to the third of my new pieces that went into the Art Yard open exhibition that launched yesterday. This is a much simpler piece, an image of a local canalised taken when we were still quite deep into winter. It is a gum print, but only using two layers, both the same colour, just different pigment strengths and exposures, one for the highlights, one for the mistunes and shadows. I could have added more, but decided I liked it just fine as it was.
